I’m still processing the fact I won an Academic Excellence Award in some ways. Last year, I won the Part B Business Economics and Finance Award for being the highest performing student on my course, and now to go on and win the Loughborough Academic Excellence Award for being the highest performing student of the entire Business School is unbelievable. I think it reflects my passion for studying, and it’s proof of all the hard work I’ve put in and progress I made since coming here. I’m very honoured to have received it, and it motivates me to keep going. Loughborough has definitely made me a more dedicated and passionate student.

My advice to prospective students would be to say yes to new experiences and embrace opportunities as they arise. Trying new things, like joining the boxing team, has been key to my university experience. You’ll regret the things you don’t do more than the things you take a chance on.

In terms of choosing a course, I think it’s essential to pick something you're genuinely interested in. I’ve found it makes it so much easier to put in the hard work to achieve your goals and invest in your studies.

I'm planning to pursue a master’s in economics or finance after I graduate. Loughborough has helped me grow and take responsibility for myself and my own performance. I’ve felt supported throughout my time here and the Business School offers excellent placement opportunities for students. My professors have been incredible, they go above and beyond to help with guidance on choosing and pursuing a career, while the Careers Network provides ongoing advice even after graduation.

I aim to go into investment banking after completing my master's degree. I'd like to work as an equity or financial analyst for a few years, then pursue an MBA and move into asset management or consulting.

To me, purposeful progress means making daily decisions that help to create the best version of yourself. Loughborough Business School provides an environment that fosters that growth. For me, it's about achieving my goals and how I can benefit society in a way that aligns with my personal aims. Every day, I work towards making my vision a reality, from how I chose my degree to being willing to put in the hours and work hard to succeed.
