Where is Loughborough?
Loughborough is an ancient and bustling market town in the East Midlands.
As our region’s name suggests, we’re centrally situated in the heart of the country.
This means that it’s easy to get to and from the campus, particularly as we have excellent transport links – locally, nationally and internationally – making it easy to visit friends and family, explore the UK and travel worldwide.

We’re close to Junction 23 of the M1 and East Midlands Airport is just a short bus or taxi ride away. The town has a mainline train station with regular direct services to London, Leicester, Nottingham and Sheffield with connections to many other destinations.
Out and about
Our campus is a short stroll from Loughborough town centre. If you’re in a hurry, you can jump on the bus that runs through campus into town and out to the train station.
The town itself offers plenty of options when it comes to socialising. As well as a local cinema, we offer a fantastic choice of bars, cafés, clubs, pubs and restaurants. The Town Hall is a popular venue, hosting comedy, theatre and live music. It also has an art gallery and café.
If you can’t find what you want in Loughborough’s wide selection of shops, nearby Leicester and Nottingham are home to well-known high street stores as well as independent boutiques.
We like to think of Loughborough as the small town with a big heart and global connections.
