Media and Communication students awarded prizes at graduation

Harvey Sparrow with Dr Saul Albert and Dr Alena Pfoser

Our 2024 BSc Media and Communication cohort recently graduated and enjoyed a brilliant day on campus celebrating with friends, family, and staff members from our School.

During the day, prizes were handed out to students that excelled during their time studying our International Relations, Politics and History programmes.

Prizes were awarded to:

  • Selina Kumdzu - the School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize: Communication and Media: Part C
  • Harvey Sparrow - the Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize

The School of Social Sciences and Humanities Community Prize is a prize to the value of £50 to a Part C communication and media student who is judged to have made an exceptional extra-curricular contribution to the discipline, School, University or wider community.

The Professor Albert Cherns Memorial Prize takes the form of a certificate and a £50 Amazon voucher. Professor Cherns was the founding Head of the Department of Social Sciences at Loughborough University and the prizes are presented each year at a reception held for graduates and their guests following the summer degree ceremony.
