Postgraduate research student, Laura Crawford, awarded Loughborough University Doctoral College Research Student Prize

Laura Crawford, a postgraduate research student, has been awarded a Loughborough University Doctoral College Research Student Prize.

The award ceremony was held on Wednesday 12th June at the DC Annual Summer Showcase.

Laura was nominated by her supervisors, Dr Louise Holt and Dr Sarah Mills, on the basis of outstanding academic performance, achievements and contribution to the School and/or University over and above own research.

Laura contributes to Geography and Environment through her role as PGR Rep, academic achievements including a co-authored book chapter, and contributions to conferences including the 2019 AAG Washington D.C as presenter, panellist and session convener.

Laura also contributes to the University through her role Subwarden to a University hall of accommodation, as well as being a sports leader.

The Loughborough University Doctoral College Research Student Prize is a prize of £200 which is awarded annually to two PhD students who have progressed beyond the first year of their research.
