Alum releases The Accidental Manager’s Playbook

Rob Yeo (Engineering Physics BSc, 1995) has released a new book, The Accidental Manager’s Playbook, aimed at first-time producer-managers in financial services.

The book is a practical management guide for professionals who have been promoted because of their individual results and now have additional management responsibilities.

Rob said:

Financial services does not have a leadership problem – not in the way people usually mean it. It has a producer-manager problem. Too many talented producers are promoted, handed a team, and expected to learn management by osmosis while still hitting their own number.”

Drawing on more than twenty years’ experience, including senior COO roles in investment banking and his later work as an executive coach, Rob sets out a practical playbook for managing the tasks, the team, individual producers, and oneself.
