Perform at Speech Bubble

Speech Bubble is a long-running, relaxed, and friendly evening of performance poetry held at Loughborough Students' Union twice a year - in the autumn and spring terms. It is a fantastic opportunity for Loughborough University students (and staff) to showcase their talent and gain experience of performing their own work in a friendly, supportive environment.

Our Speech Bubble events are a collaboration with LSU's Creative Writing Society. The Creative Writing Society choose a professional poet to perform in a headline slot on the night, as well as managing the Open Mic slot sign ups and hosting the event. LU Arts provide funding and support.

Whether you're performing or simply enjoying the show, Speech Bubble offers an inclusive and supportive space to celebrate creativity and the power of words. The event is open to anyone (18+) to attend, including members of the public.
