Monday Chill Out: Rip and Restore – mindful collage
Book nowUnwind this summer with this gentle collage-making session
About the workshop
*** Loughborough University students only ***
Discover the calm of paper-ripping in this gentle collage-making session using hand-ripped paper from waste materials including old magazines and cardboard. No scissors required, breathe with each rip to explore frayed edges, material agency, and circular design as you turn scraps into personal art that nurtures your wellbeing. Perfect for beginners or anyone seeking mindful creativity, repair, and connection. Join us to deconstruct, reimagine and restore.
This workshop is beginner-friendly and all materials are provided.
This event is part of Summertime Socials, a programme of activities for students staying in or near Loughborough over the summer.
Visit the Summertime Socials webpage for full details.
About Create and Connect
Create and Connect are pre-bookable creative workshops open to all students. The regular series takes places in the Library on the second Tuesday of the month during term time. Each session is a one-off and must be booked in advance. They are a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make something to take away.
Accessibility
There is step-free access into the building and MHL0.13 is located at the end of the ground floor corridor. There is an accessible toilet nearby. For more information, view the Access Guide for Martin Hall on AccessAble.
If you have any specific access requirements or anything you would like the workshop leader to be aware of, then please email LU.Arts@mailbox.lboro.ac.uk and we will do our best to accommodate them.
