Photographs of the 'Team Behind the Team' of Loughborough Football Programme 2025-26 season

About the exhibition

Success on the pitch is never achieved by the players and coaches alone.

Behind every performance is a dedicated team of people working away from the spotlight — providing the expertise, care, organisation and commitment that allows players and teams to perform at their best.

This photographic exhibition celebrates the team behind the team. Through these images, we recognise the important contribution made by professional staff, placement students and volunteers, each playing their part in creating a successful football environment.

Some roles are highly visible; many are not. From preparation and performance support to analysis, medical care, operations, communications and the countlessjobs undertaken on training and matchdays, every contribution matters.

These photographs capture moments that can easily go unnoticed but are fundamental to success. They tell the story of the people, relationships and collective effort that exist behind what we see on the pitch.

Because no team succeeds alone.

Great performances are built not only by those who cross the white line, but by the team behind them.

All photographs taken by Becca Taylor. The photographs were taken across all three elements of Loughborough's Football Programme: Loughborough Students Football, Loughborough Lightning and Loughborough Students Futsal.
