Spintronics

Jack completed an integrated Master's degree in Physics at Loughborough University in 2025, with his final-year research project focusing on the application of local strain to few-layer graphene flakes. Following the completion of his undergraduate degree, Jack continued at Lougborough University and started his PhD, working with Dr Fasil Dejene, Dr Mark Greenway, and Prof Kelly Morrison to investigate magnetisation reversal in ferromagnetic materials using spin torques.

Jack's research focuses on the manipulation of magnetisation within ferromagnetic materials using current-induced spin torques, with the goal of developing low-power, high-speed MRAM devices.
