LU Arts is the University’s extra-curricular arts programme. They have a student team to help run their programme of arts events and activities throughout the year. All student team members are employed on a casual basis.
Any current Loughborough University undergraduate or postgraduate (taught and research) students can apply.
Student Photographer
In this role, you will attend and document a variety of LU Arts events, and occasionally events organised by other parts of the University. Events usually take place on the Loughborough campus. This could include arts and craft workshops, live performance nights, guided walks and student society rehearsals.
LU Arts will use your photographs on their website, in marketing materials, and across their social media channels. Loughborough University’s wider marketing team may use them too.
The current pay rate for Student Photographers is £15.34 per hour.

Arts Events Assistant
In this role, you will support the delivery of LU Arts and Radar’s events and exhibition programmes, such as arts and craft workshops, exhibitions, artist talks, live performance nights, guided walks and screenings.
Responsibilities could include:
- helping install an exhibition in Martin Hall Gallery;
- setting up materials for arts workshops;
- front of house duties at events;
- staffing an LU Arts stand at Open Days and Student Activities Bazaars;
- leading a campus walk around the sculpture collection.
The current pay rate for Arts Events Assistants is £15.07 per hour.
