The by-election will ensure that the Executive team is complete ahead of the new academic year. This enables the successful candidate to undertake the full induction, training, and team development programme alongside the wider 2026/27 Executive team, ensuring a consistent and cohesive start to their term.
For clarity, it is not possible to recount the previous election as the vote was closed and the results ratified.
Voting will be held online, with eligible students encouraged to step forward and nominate themselves for the vacant Equity, Diversity & Inclusion Executive Officer role.
Eligibility to stand in the by-election is for students who hold a current LSU membership and student status for the full duration of the election period. This means you must remain a registered student up to and including 1 July 2026 to nominate yourself, campaign, and take office if elected.
