Changes to IT account when staff leave or join the University

As a reminder, the processes by which staff IT accounts are created, maintained and removed have been updated.

Staff leaving 
As part of this update, IT accounts for staff leaving the University are automatically disabled at the end of their last official day of work. 

This is a change from the previous process, where access continued for up to 30 days after leaving the University.  

Once the account is disabled, access to University systems, email, OneDrive, and files will no longer be available. 

Staff joining 
From June, new IT accounts will be assigned a random username (as happens with student accounts currently) rather than being based on personal details.
