Name submissions
We welcome suggestions for hall names that reflect an individual or theme with a strong connection to the history and/or unique character of the University. Female names and names from a range of personal, cultural and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged.
The deadline for name submissions is midday on Monday 1 June, after which due diligence will take place, with a decision being finalised and shared internally during the week commencing 8 June.

Logo submissions
Announcing the name of our newest hall of residence will mark the launch of our next competition, to design the hall’s logo.
The design must incorporate:
- the name of the hall
- a crest which signals the connection between the hall name and the University
- no more than five colours.
The deadline for logo submissions is midday on Tuesday 16 June. The winner will be announced on 17 June, with the new hall name and crest being unveiled to the public at our University Open Day on Saturday 20 June.
