Looking to explore career options, meet top employers, or sharpen your professional skills? The Careers Network is bringing back the Autumn Futures Fair and Festival, a packed programme designed to help you take the next step in your career journey. 

Autumn Futures Festival 

The Autumn Futures Festival is a six-week programme taking place from 28 September to 6 November. There will be various interactive events held for students, which are designed to help you: 

  • explore your career options; 
  • meet potential employers; 
  • apply for placements and jobs; 
  • practice your interview techniques;  
  • start your own business;
  • develop your existing skillset. 

These sessions will be led by experts in the Careers Network and employers across a variety of industries. Expect plenty of opportunities to build connections, plus giveaways, competitions, and freebies.

Autumn Futures Fair 

The highlight of the Festival is the Futures Fair, taking place in the Sir David Wallace Sports Hall on: 

Employers will be seeking applicants from all years for different opportunities, from graduate roles, internships and placements to vacation and volunteering positions. By speaking to representatives at the Futures Fair, you can gain inside knowledge about the application process and top tips to help you succeed.  

This year, we are excited to welcome Technogym, NEXT, Unilever, Get into Teaching, Crédit Agricole and many more organisations. 

Top tips to make the most out of the Fair: 

  • Dress appropriately and make a great first impression.
  • Stay open minded: the right role might be with a company you don’t yet know.
