Pop-up Maker Space
The Pop-up Maker Space is a chance for students and staff to get involved in quick and simple creative activities suitable for all. Whether you stay for 15 minutes or a full session, these events are designed to help you take a break from your studies while exploring your creative side.
Each pop-up session has a different focus, which is self-led with simple instructions to follow if needed. In addition to this, there are basic art materials available at every session for you to use, including paper, paints, origami and colouring sheets.
The Pop-up Maker Space takes place on the fourth Thursday of the month in different locations across campus.
Upcoming sessions:
- Autumn Paper Lanterns: 22 October, 12.30pm-2.30pm, James France Exhibition Space (also open to staff)
- Making Bookmarks: 29 October, 12.30pm-2.30pm, Seminar Room One, Pilkington Library
Create and Connect
Create and Connect is a series of monthly arts workshops open to all students, taking place in the Library on the second Tuesday of the month. Each session is a one-off and must be booked in advance. They are a chance to meet new people, learn new skills and make something to take away.
Upcoming sessions:
- Sustainable Stitching - Make Your Own Lavender Keyring: 10 November, 6.30pm-8.30pm, Seminar Room One, Pilkington Library
- Festive Felt - Make Your Own Christmas Decorations: 8 December, 6.30pm-8.30pm, Seminar Room One, Pilkington Library
