Alongside the firework displays, there will be fairground rides and games as well as food and drink available to purchase. The event is open to all. If you would like to attend the event, tickets (including discounted tickets for students) can be purchased online via the Students’ Union Website.
Tickets must be purchased in advance as LSU are unable to sell tickets at the door. Doors open at 5.30pm and last admission to the event is 7.30pm.
Car Park Closure
To support the delivery of the event, please note that the following car parks will be closed from 6pm on Friday 6 November to allow for preparations for the event:
- Swimming Pool (SU side)
- Spaces outside the Nursery and Daily Grind
- Car Park 8
- Car Park 15
- Car Park 18
- Lower Haslegrave
- HIPAC
- Front of NCSEM
- Sir Richard Morris
The car parks behind LSU will be closed from 9pm on Wednesday 4 November.
Pedestrian access to East Park
During the event, pedestrian access to and through East Park (including to Powerbase and the Swimming Pool and getting off campus to town) will be limited with walking route diversions in place.
You can view the alternative walking routes on the digital map. Signage will be in place across the site to direct you to the appropriate access/exit points. We would advise adding additional travelling time to your journey. Please note that access to the Coop at LSU will not be available. The Purple Onion Coop in the Student Village will be open as normal and is unaffected.
Kinchbus Sprint service
Between 4pm-9.30pm the Kinch Sprint Bus Service will not service the following bus stops on campus:
- Students’ Union
- Computer Studies
- Accommodation Centre
- Pilkington Library
- Mechanical Engineering
- STEMLab
During this time, the buses will still serve Loughborough College as normal and then divert on Ashby Road, enter the campus at Holywell Park, serve this stop and then divert back along Ashby Road towards town and the train station.
