The University’s strategy, ‘Creating Better Futures. Together’, recognises that creating better futures starts with the relationships and communities around us. It reflects our commitment to working collaboratively to address the challenges facing society and to making a positive impact through our partnerships, connections and shared experiences.
This year, students are invited to create designs inspired by the following theme:
‘Creating better futures starts with the relationships and communities around us. We are looking for designs that inspire a sense of belonging, celebrate collaboration and highlight the connections that unite us, both within the University and beyond.’
In keeping with our theme of creating better futures through relationships and communities, students are encouraged to develop designs that reflect connection, belonging and collaboration. Our commitment to being more equitable, diverse and inclusive is underpinned by the following principles:
- Creating a culturally vibrant community that values and benefits from diverse perspectives and experiences.
- Acting responsibly and showing care for people, communities and the environment.
- Strengthening connections and fostering a spirit of teamwork across our University network, including students, staff, alumni and partners.
Designs may celebrate friendships, teamwork, partnerships, inclusion, cultural exchange, volunteering, learning, innovation, local communities or any other interpretation of the connections that help create better futures.
