The new website will sit alongside the main University website and provide a more visible and centralised approach to finding and engaging with our community, making it easier for potential collaborators, partners, students and external audiences to discover our research and expertise.
Powered by Symplectic Elements, which also powers the University’s Publications Information System (LUPIN), the platform will offer better search and filtering options, and staff will also be able to directly edit their own profiles, helping ensure content is kept up to date.
As part of the development process, the project team has engaged with Associate Deans for Research and Innovation (ADRIs), and a user group has been established, which will help us to test the system before launch.
During October and November, our research community, including academic staff and doctoral researchers, will be asked to review their profiles within the new platform ahead of its planned launch in early 2027.
