The funding is intended to support projects, activities, and initiatives that strengthen and enhance research culture across Loughborough University, and/or to generate evidence of the effectiveness of existing processes, policies and initiatives for REF Strategy, People & Research Environment (SPRE) statements.
In line with the University's research and innovation culture ambitions, funded activities should help to build and/or evidence a research community that is connected, empowered, fair and accountable, while promoting collaboration, creativity, wellbeing, professional development and research excellence.
Who can apply for the Research Culture Fund?
All research-active and research-enabling staff are eligible to apply for the Research Culture Fund, including:
- doctoral researchers
- postdoctoral researchers
- early career researchers
- mid-career researchers
- senior researchers and research leaders
- technicians
- research professional and research-enabling staff.
Individual, group, and collaborative projects will be considered.
Applicants must:
- be employed by, or registered as a doctoral researcher at, Loughborough University for the duration of the project;
- obtain approval from their Dean/ADRI/Service Director (or equivalent delegated authority) prior to submission.
