Artificial intelligence is transforming supply chain planning, but technology alone cannot resolve weak data foundations, unclear processes or gaps in organisational decision-making.

As part of the MIT Global SCALE Network, the UK Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (UK SCALE) Centre is pleased to highlight this upcoming webinar, Supercharging Supply Chain Planning: What AI Can (and Can’t) Fix Today. The session will bring together experts from across the Network to explore where AI is delivering practical value in supply chain planning and the challenges it cannot solve on its own.

Chaired by Professor Jan Godsell, the discussion will feature Professor Donato Masi, Dr María Jesús Sáenz, Professor Richard Pibernik, Dr Daniel Prato Sánchez and Dr Emad Alenany. Together, they will examine the opportunities and limitations of AI-enabled planning, the foundations organisations need to benefit from it, and the organisational changes required to turn technological capability into better decisions.

The webinar will offer practical perspectives on how organisations can approach AI adoption more effectively, balancing investment in technology with strong data, trusted governance, appropriate capabilities and the right organisational mindset.
