Rebecca is a University Teacher at Loughborough Business School and Module Leader for BSP407 Learning, Development and Knowledge Management. She previously held positions at Durham University, Glasgow Caledonian University and Aston Business School. She completed her PhD at Aston Business School (2024) alongside her MSc in Strategy and International Business (2021) and her BSc in Business and International Relations (2020) at Aston University also.
Rebecca's research falls at the intersection of strategy, leadership and organization studies. Specifically, her research explores how incorporating play into strategy making can help organizations overcome complex challenges and unlock tangible strategic outcomes. Rebecca is highly engaged in the Strategy-as-Practice community and convened the 2025 and 2025 EGOS Colloquium SAP Community Day.
Rebecca’s research has received various nominations, including the Best Paper Award for EGOS 2024 Sub-theme 69: Strategy-as-Practice at the Crossroads: Where to Next? Her research was also nominated for the Best Paper Award for the SAP Interest Group at Academy of Management 2025.
