The Foundation course was suggested to me as a good means of preparing myself for further study on a BA course. I looked at one other Foundation course, but Loughborough offered the structure, teaching, and facilities to best enable the development of my creative practice.

The teaching, from both the academic and technical staff, has been pivotal in shaping the evolution of my practice, and the contextual framework within which it sits. The regular tutor interaction I experienced on the Foundation course challenged me to question the core interests of my practice and guided my research into alternative areas of study, most of which continue to form the pillars of my current practice.
