Amy completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology, Sociology and Linguistics at Nottingham Trent University and has worked in community development for much of her career. More recently, Amy worked providing spiritual care within a children’s hospice, alongside qualifying as a person-centred counsellor. There, she discovered a passion for palliative care and supporting bereaved people.

Amy’s PhD is titled ‘Building an inclusive bereavement support ecosystem through improved communication in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland’. Using Conversation Analysis and other methods, Amy will explore inclusive bereavement support communication with the aim of co-producing a tool that can be used for training bereavement practitioners.
