Shiau-Jin Lee is a PhD researcher within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University.

Having obtained his Master’s degree in Physical Education from National Kaohsiung Normal University in 2024, he draws on his background as a primary school teacher in Taiwan to identify critical gaps in contemporary physical education, particularly regarding adapted physical education (APE).

His doctoral research examines the evolution of APE policy in Taiwan and compares it with international practices, such as those of the UK, to provide an in-depth analysis of current Physical Education Teacher Education (PETE) frameworks and their operational challenges.
