Meals in halls

All students in our accommodation can choose to eat hot nutritional meals in our dining halls. Students living in catered halls have regular meal provisions included in the costs of their fees. Students living in self-catered halls can buy meal credits and eat in our any of our dining halls.

Catered halls

Catered halls provide a regular meal service during term time. Use the link below to see dining hall opening hours, where to find your dining hall, and read the menu.

You must eat your meals in your hall's dedicated dining hall. The only exception to this is at lunchtimes, where students can use the 'flexible lunch' option, allowing you to eat in any of the six catered halls on campus.

What to do if you can't attend during dining hall opening hours

If you cannot attend a meal you can arrange a packed lunch by giving the kitchen 24 hours notice. There is also an option to 'grab and go' with your food.

What is included in each meal?

Your food entitlement for each meal is:

  • one main dish/sandwich/baguette
  • accompaniment of potatoes, vegetables and salad bar
  • a desert/yoghurt
  • one piece of fresh fruit.

All meals also have unlimited hot drinks and squash.
