Description of the works
New isolation valves are to be installed to the admin branch pipework where it tees off the main within the ceiling void before the main enters the James France plant room, this work will require us to cordon off the corridor 0.105 to form a safe working area outside of the plant room to install the new valves above the ceiling. Building users will need to use alternative access routes (either Stewart Mason or James France Admin) for access to the exhibition space and lecture theatres 0.14, 1.11. & cleaner store 0.18/0.106
The MTHW pipework serving James France Admin that runs below ground through the James France exhibition space is to be replaced with new above ground pipework to the high-level exhibition space ceiling void, during this work lecture theatre 0.21 will not be accessible as the scaffold tower used to access the ceiling void will be blocking the entrance to the exhibition space. A final section of new pipework will be installed to connect onto the existing pipework at the James France admin corridor/lobby.
Timescale
Contractors will be starting in the James France corridor 0.105 (near cleaners store) to isolate the pipework and install the new valves (there will be no through route access to exhibition all on the below dates);
4 – 5 July & 8 – 9 July

8 – 12 July & 23 – 26 July
