Manual Call Point Operating Guidance
Longcliffe House
This document provides guidance on operating the Manual Call Points (MCP) in Longcliffe House. A different MCP should be tested each week on rotation as part of the test.

Testing the Manual Call Point
1. Open Cover
Lift the Perspex cover and press the black circular button, situated between the two black arrows, in the centre of the call point. This will activate the MCP and trigger the fire alarm sounders.
2. MCP Activated
Insert the test key and turn clockwise. This will activate the call point and trigger the alarm sounders.
The MCP display has shifted to the diagonal position, exposing the back and yellow striped. The red light is illuminated.
3. Insert Key
Insert the grey testing key in the slot on the front of the MCP and turn clockwise.
The key slot is illuminated by the red light when the MCP is activated.
4. Remove Key
When the key has been turned, the display returns to the normal position.
