IT Services will be migrating from our current Symantec Antivirus product to a more modern next generation solution (Microsoft Defender for Endpoint). This will significantly improve our security by using modern techniques to detect rogue applications, intruders and viruses on our network.
The rollout is planned to take place between Feb and March 2023. All users of the staff macOS desktop service will be contacted in the coming weeks with additional information and instructions as to how the upgrade will be carried out.
