Adobe Express is an all-in-one web and mobile app used for creating high-quality content, quickly & easily. It is designed for users of all skill levels and includes ready-to-go templates, Adobe Stock media assets and GenAI tools powered by Adobe Firefly.

Express is a quick, user-friendly design tool with drag-and-drop templates, one-click editing, and Firefly-powered AI features — perfect for creating content fast, without advanced design skills.

You can create social posts, posters, presentations, resumes, webpages, short videos, infographics, digital portfolios, and more - all from templates or from scratch. 

As an Adobe Creative Campus, Loughborough University provides students and full-time staff free premium access to Adobe Express.

Go to new.express.adobe.com - no need to create an account, simply sign in with your university email address (e.g. ac.uk). 

Access & Licensing

How do I sign in?

Go to new.express.adobe.com. No need to create an account - simply login using your university ac.uk email address.

For quick access, use your uni's quick login URL: new.express.adobe.com/a/[insert uni domain].

Is Adobe Express included in the Creative Cloud Suite?

Yes. In addition to Adobe Express, some staff/students may have access to the full Creative Cloud suite (course dependant). Adobe Express is included. 

Does Adobe Express require admin setup?

Adobe Express can be provisioned by your institutions IT team via the Adobe Admin Console. 

What if I don’t see premium features?

If you’re logged in but still see a “premium” watermark, double-check that you used your university login, not a personal Adobe ID. If it persists, contact your university IT team for support. 

 

Can I use it on any device?

Access Express from your browser or mobile app on eligible mobile devices and tablets. Supported devices here: bit.ly/3KVnmqE . You can also install Express as a progressive web app (PWA) on your desktop.

Integrations

Does Adobe Express integrate with Adobe Creative Cloud?

Yes - easily import and edit assets from Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom, and send your Express projects back to those apps for more advanced editing. 

 

 

Can I connect Express to cloud storage like Google Drive or OneDrive?

Express integrates directly with Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox, allowing you to open, save, and manage files seamlessly across platforms. 

 

 

Can I publish to social media from Adobe Express?

Express allows direct publishing and scheduling to social media platforms. Learn more. 

 

 

Does Express integrate with any university learning/collaboration tools?

Express works alongside key platforms including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Canvas LMS, Blackboard Learn. Learn more.

 

Troubleshooting & Support

I can’t see premium features - what should I do?

Check you are signed in with your university email (e.g. ac.uk) and clear your browser cache. If issues continue contact the IT Service Desk: it.services@lboro.ac.uk  

 

 

My projects are missing - where can I find them?

Make sure you’re logged in with the same account you used previously. Projects are automatically saved in the cloud and tied to your Adobe ID.

Branding & Templates

What is a Brand Kit?

Brand Kits allow you to upload logos, colour palettes, and fonts - ensuring every design is consistent, and aligns with your institution’s visual identity. Departments or marketing teams can set up shared kits for brand alignment across materials. 

Can I share templates with others?

Yes - convert projects to a template to allow others to copy and edit your design while preserving the original version. You can also do this with webpage projects. 

Can I use branded templates or lock content to restrict editing?

Yes. Upload or create branded templates to a library & invite others to view /use your content. Add guidelines and lock elements to maintain consistency. 

Video, Audio & Animation

Does Express support video and audio editing?

Yes. Express includes a video editor where you can trim, add text, captions, music, and transitions. You can also record voice-overs in- app & enhance speech quality.  

Can I record audio or narration?

Yes. Record voiceovers in-app or upload your own audio files to narrate videos and presentations. 

Can I add captions or subtitles?

Yes - auto-captioning is available in the video editor, and text boxes can be used to manually add subtitles for accessibility. 

Webpage

What is an Adobe Express Webpage?

Webpages are scrollable, interactive presentations perfect for showcasing student portfolios, project outcomes, or research storytelling. They support text, images, videos, and embedded content.  

Can I collaborate on a webpage?

Yes, just like other Express projects, webpages support real-time collaboration and commenting.

Can I export my webpage project?

Yes! Download your Express webpages as a PDF to share or archive. Webpage PDFs are ready to print, tagged for accessibility, and include time stamps to keep your files organised. 

GenAI (Powered by Adobe Firefly)

Can I use GenAI in Adobe Express?

Yes. Adobe Firefly-powered tools are built into Express, including text-to-image, text effects, and generative fill. All Firefly content is trained on licensed or public domain data, making it safe for commercial and educational use. 

 

Can I use Firefly prompts in other languages?

Yes - Adobe Express & Firefly supports multiple languages. 

How do I write an effective prompt?

Aim for more than a few words and be specific. Describe the subject, setting, and style you want. E.g. “sunset over rolling hills in watercolour style” gives better results than a vague phrase. If the image isn’t right, tweak your wording and try again.  Click here to learn more.
