Loughborough Lightning can confirm that forward Jess Collyer will be leaving the club ahead of the 2026/27 season to pursue another opportunity.

Collyer joined Loughborough Lightning in the 2023/24 season, where the club narrowly missed out on promotion back to the FAWNL Northern Premier Division on goal difference to Sporting Khalsa.

Following on from her debut season, Collyer has made 77 appearances for the club, breaking the record for player appearances at Lightning.

The standout season for Collyer came in the 2024/25 season, when Lightning secured the FAWNL Division 1 Midlands Title unbeaten in 28 games. The forward hit 18 goals and provided 5 assists.

Head Coach Charles Baxter said, "It’s been a pleasure working with Jess over the last three years. She’s been an integral part of our successes over that time, and she’ll certainly be missed. While I’m sad to see her move on, I’m excited to see how her next chapter pans out."

We would like to thank Jess for her commitment to the club over the last three seasons and which her well in her next chapter."
