Imagine a competition where every sport your school competes in, contributes to crowning an overall champion, similar to the NCAA in the USA. That’s BUCS (British Universities and Colleges Sport), and Loughborough have won for 44 consecutive years. No other UK university has ever won this competition!
We have 19 performance programmes across 14 sports, including Basketball, Field Hockey, Soccer, Swimming and Track and Field.
All performance athletes at Loughborough benefit from world-class training facilities, elite coaching, and comprehensive support services.

Scholarships and financial aid
Various academic and sporting scholarships are available to US student-athletes, which can be explored below. Loughborough University offers Sports Scholarships ranging from $1,300 to $6,000.
In addition, student-athletes have previously accessed funding through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to finance their education in the UK.

Accomodation
There are three postgraduate halls of residence on campus, all self-catered. The rates range from $148 to $252 per week, which translates to $7,400 - $12,730 per year.
All fees above include utilities, wired and wireless network, housekeeping service, out-of-hours service, Endsleigh insurance policy cover and hall activities.
There is the option to live in Loughborough town. Our StudentPad website will provide you with information on all university-approved accommodation options.
