Most of Andy's research has explored the internet and newer media as they relate to four broad areas of political communication: political mobilisation, political engagement, news and journalism and deception and misinformation.

Professor of Digital Cultural Heritage

Lise enjoys working across sectors and disciplines. As a digital humanist, she has extensive experience of collaborating with computer scientists, archivists, librarians and government professionals to unlock digital archival data with innovative technologies.

Dr Brendan Lawson

Lecturer in Media and Communication

Brendan Lawson is an expert in quantification and media, with a specific focus on how people engage with data in their everyday lives. He leads lectures and workshops on data, power and democracy, as well as working with industry partners such as Too Good To Go.

Professor Arianna Maiorani

Professor in Linguistics, Multimodality and Kinesemiotics

Professor Maiorani’s main research interests are Multimodality, Linguistics, Social Semiotics and the Semiotics of Dance and Performance. Her modules focus on the study of the English Language at various levels.
