Advance your expertise, elevate your career, and make a lasting impact in Physical Education with our MSc Education (Physical Education). Designed for ambitious educators, this master's programme equips you with the knowledge, skills and research expertise needed to drive innovation in PE teaching and learning.

Whether you are a newly qualified teacher, an aspiring PE specialist, or an emerging educational leader, this course provides an excellent pathway for professional growth.

Building on the foundations of our Secondary Physical Physical Education (11-18) PGCE programme, the MSc combines academic rigour with practical relevance. Eligible graduates can progress onto the MSc immediately or within five years of completing the PGCE.

Following your PGCE, you will complete the 30-credit Research in Education module, delivered online over five consecutive days during the summer holidays, making it flexible and accessible alongside your professional commitments.

You will then undertake a research project relevant to your specialist subject of physical education and the school/educational context. Supported through one-to-one supervision by internationally recognised researchers and experts, you will develop and complete a 7,500-word dissertation in the style of a journal article.

On successful completion, you will achieve a full MSc Education qualification, enhancing your professional credibility, strengthening your leadership potential, and positioning you at the forefront of Physical Education practice and research.
