You will study through interactive lectures and seminars, giving you the opportunity to learn key concepts and skills, before having the opportunity to apply these in practice, debate and discussion in smaller groups, as well as through the professional development opportunities offered through our unique Coach and Volunteer Academy.

Group work is an important element of your study in this degree. You will have a group task in almost every module to develop your team working and intercultural communication skills, which are highly valued by sport industry employers throughout the world.

Your study will also have a component of independent study, including the need to read academic work (e.g., journal articles and books). You will also be expected to complement this learning through reading and watching professional sources (e.g., reading about recent sport management related events in the news) in order to prepare for your lectures and seminars.

Combined, these experiences will equip you with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in the global sport industry.
