Dr Tim Marjoribanks

Programme Lead

Tim is a Senior Lecturer in Water Engineering with experience working globally on eco-hydraulics and nature-based solutions to hydro-meteorological hazards. Tim is also the Director of Student Experience in the School of Architecture, Building and Civil Engineering.

Professor Qiuhua Liang

UNESCO Chair in Informatics and Multi-Hazard Risk Reduction

Professor Liang has expertise in developing high-performance computational models and data tools for disaster risk assessment and reduction. His models have been widely applied globally across Europe, India, Asia and Africa. Qiuhua teaches Flood Modelling and Management.

Dr Huili Chen

Senior Lecturer in Water Engineering

Huili's research focuses on innovative methods using satellite observation and high-performance modelling to monitor and predict disaster impacts and risks. Huili teaches Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Flood Modelling and Management.

Dr Richard Hodgkins

Reader in Climate Futures

With 27 years’ teaching experience in physical geography, Richard has published over 50 peer-reviewed papers on environmental processes and change, and is a certified Carbon Literacy facilitator.
