I believe that if my findings were adopted by relevant stakeholders, there will be a positive contribution to the sixth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG), which is to ensure the availability and sustainability of clean water and sanitation for all.
I hope to create research which can be used by developing countries in aiding their own economic development and improving the welfare of their citizens. I feel successful development must come from countries' own actions.
The support and infinite pool of resources provided by various university agents, including the Doctoral College, Students' Union and the Business School, have been invaluable.
Completing my research here means I am constantly pushed to increase the level of rigour I incorporate into my thesis, which is a fantastic mindset for research.
I think my PhD here at Loughborough has been one of the best decisions of my life. It gives me the opportunity to become an expert in a highly relevant topic while gaining valuable experience outside of my research.
