Our Centre for Research in Communication and Culture (CRCC) is a large, vibrant, interdisciplinary centre for communication, cultural and media analysis. Our research draws on and contributes to theories and methods in cultural and media studies, sociology, politics, psychology, history and memory studies, textual, visual and computational analysis, and geography.

Culture, Economy and Policy

This broad research group is characterised by a common interest in studying processes, discourses and practices of migration, nation and exclusion/inclusion.

Communication

Around the world, communication is fundamental to politics and the role of media in society is deeply politicised.

Political and Cultural Theory

We’re interested in exploring and understanding the complex forces that shape our societies, how they change over time and how, if at all, actors can intervene to advance their goals.
