Reflecting on my time at Loughborough, I found that there is always someone available to assist you. The academic support and expertise available during my degrees has been invaluable to my academic journey.

There is also support beyond the course, in finding placements or job opportunities, or drafting CVs and cover letters.

There have been countless highlights outside of my coursework and placements. Above all, the connections I forged with people in halls, during volunteering, engaging in social activities and playing for the Women’s basketball team, have become the enduring highlights of my Loughborough Journey.

The people I have met added immense value to my experience. Meeting people from diverse backgrounds - each bringing unique cultures, and discovering common ground that unites us, have been the true essence of my time at Loughborough.

The advice that I would give to someone considering studying the MSc in Sport Management, Politics and International Development is that active engagement is crucial, whether in lectures, seminars, or beyond the classroom.

Loughborough is unique in offering opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge through on-campus volunteering. Seize these chances. They will help you gain practical experience and expand your network.

Lastly, strike a balance between academics and extracurriculars and don’t forget to plan for the future. You may not have a precise career roadmap yet, and that’s okay. However, it is important to start contemplating long-term goals.
