Before coming to the UK, I was working as a Project Manager in a company focused on healthcare data and business insights. Through that experience, I became increasingly interested in how organisations can use data to make better decisions and solve real-world challenges. I knew I wanted to deepen my understanding of analytics and find a programme that would connect data-driven insights with practical business applications.
That is what led me to study MSc Business Analytics at Loughborough University. The University stood out because of its strong reputation for applied learning, graduate outcomes and student experience. I was looking for a course that would help me build both technical and analytical skills while also giving me the opportunity to understand how data can create value for businesses and customers.
Since joining Loughborough, I have found the learning environment incredibly supportive. The lecturers have been approachable and encouraging, always willing to answer questions, whether during classes, over email or outside of office hours. Their support has helped me develop my confidence and get the most out of my studies.
One of the things I enjoy most about Loughborough is the vibrant student community. With more than 100 clubs and societies, there are plenty of opportunities to meet people, get involved in activities and build connections. It creates a welcoming environment where students can engage, collaborate and support one another.
Beyond the classroom, I have also benefited from the many resources and services available through the University. From careers events to professional workshops, there have been countless opportunities to develop my employability and prepare for the job market. These experiences have given me valuable insight into industry expectations and helped me build practical skills alongside my academic knowledge.
The University also provides programmes that help students gain professional experience before entering the workplace. Through opportunities such as the Talent Match Internship programme, I was able to secure an internship offer for the following term. This was an exciting step in my career journey and gave me confidence that I was applying my learning in a meaningful way.
Although I already had professional experience before beginning my master's degree, studying in the UK has allowed me to expand my perspective and strengthen my technical and analytical capabilities. I have learned how to transform data and knowledge into actionable insights that can genuinely help organisations and their customers. These skills have enhanced my ability to tackle complex business challenges and make informed decisions based on evidence.
Looking ahead, my long-term ambition is to become an entrepreneur. I want to lead initiatives that address real-world problems and create positive impact through data, technology and innovation. My time at Loughborough has given me the knowledge, experience and confidence to pursue those goals and take the next step in my professional journey.
