Planning your day carefully is a great way to get the most of our Inspiring Minds event. Each session represents a different subject and there are several sessions running at the same time. You can pick one session for each time slot from the list available at that time. At the bottom of the page you will also find our Pre-Event Information, which contains information about travel, dress code, etc.

Firstly, read through all of the session descriptions below. You can choose one option from each session time. Try to pick at least one subject that you are seriously considering but do not be afraid to try something new and pick what you think sounds interesting.

This is a taster lecture with a design activity to consider how we might create stronger connections with our possessions to prevent premature disposal and unnecessary waste. I outline the issues with wasted products, strategies for extending product life (through fostering emotional connection) and then give the students an opportunity to consider how they might ensure a mobile phone is kept 10 years +. |

However, there will be a timetable of sessions for parents to attend, which will be given out on the day of the event. Parent/ guardians are also welcome to go into Loughborough to explore the town during the day.
