The Food Engineering module made me realise that chemical engineering is so much more than fine chemicals and oil and that there are complex but relevant challenges in the food and drink industry that are waiting to be solved.

I did my placement year at PepsiCo International which was a great opportunity to explore a part of the process industry as it helped me further understand aspects that I like and want to explore and also what I would not enjoy doing.

I chose Chemical Engineering because it was a combination of the subjects I enjoyed at A-level (Maths and Sciences) and a Chemical Engineering degree gives graduates a wide range of rewarding career paths to follow.
