Since completing the course, I have secured a graduate role in Lighting Design at Arup, a company I have long admired. I feel incredibly fortunate to be joining them in my first professional design role. The breadth of skills I developed through the Design BA course, along with my portfolio focused on sustainability and community, aligned closely with Arup’s values and helped me stand out during the interview process. Loughborough Design School graduates also have an excellent reputation across the design and engineering industries.

There is a strong sense of community at Loughborough, particularly within the Design School. Design students benefit from being based in one of the most inspiring buildings on campus, creating a great environment for collaboration and creativity. The lecturers are approachable, supportive and genuinely invested in students’ development.
