I chose to study International Business at Loughborough because I wanted a course that offered real-world experience. The inclusion of a placement year felt like the perfect way to break up my studies and gain practical insight into the business world. I’ve always learned best by doing, so the opportunity to apply my learning in a professional setting really appealed to me.
Studying at Loughborough Business School has been a brilliant experience. The lectures are well-structured, but what really stands out is the support. Lecturers are approachable, responsive and there are plenty of opportunities to seek help - whether to talk things through or access materials early. My advice to new students is simple: don’t hesitate to reach out.
Some of my favourite modules have been the law options. I didn’t know those were available when I applied, so discovering them was a great surprise. They’ve sparked an interest in pursuing a law conversion after my degree. I also enjoyed Marketing Communications and Brand Management, particularly when developing strategies for large international companies. These modules helped me start to specialise in what I want to do next.
