Studying Economics at Loughborough Business School is distinctive because of its teaching approach. The first-year content is designed as if you’ve never studied maths or economics before, which makes it accessible and builds a strong foundation. Even though I had prior experience with the subject, the recap was helpful after summer.
The lectures gave me confidence in my abilities, exams were manageable, and the support was outstanding. Students from the year above even volunteered their time to help us with maths problems and queries!
Looking ahead, I feel prepared for the next steps. I’m exploring placement opportunities and know that the skills I’ve gained: problem-solving, teamwork and adaptability will be valuable in any career. My advice to new students is to take advantage of everything Loughborough offers join societies, try new sports and embrace the community. It’s the best way to make friends and get the most out of your university experience.
