Academically, I’ve loved studying Economics and Finance. One module that really stood out was Financial Economics. I’ve always had an interest in stocks and investments, and this module allowed me to apply theory to real-world financial markets, providing me with the practical knowledge that I can use in my own investments and future career.

Outside the classroom, Loughborough has offered countless opportunities to get involved. Sport has been a huge part of my university experiencerepresenting Loughborough in table tennis at BUCS tournaments. Wearing the purple kit and competing for a university with such a strong sporting reputation was a proud moment.

I’ve also been an active member of the Hindu Society, which helped me stay connected to my culture and meet people who share similar values. These experiences have made my time at Loughborough feel like more than just studying; they’ve made it a community.

I took on leadership responsibilities as a Course Representative for Economics and Finance. This role allowed me to be the voice of students and work closely with the Business School to improve the student experience. It taught me how to listen, communicate and advocate: skills that are just as important as academic knowledge.

If I could give one piece of advice to prospective students, it would be to put yourself out there. Attend events during Freshers, join societies and step outside your comfort zone. University is full of opportunities; you just have to be open to them. The friends you make and the experiences you gain will shape your future in ways you can’t imagine.
