2026 marks the fifth year of the annual Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, recognising and celebrating the fantastic work that goes on across our campuses. Nominations are open throughout June 2026!

There are six award categories, covering everything from cutting-edge research to world-leading sporting activity, to the unsung heroes that do critical work behind the scenes.

As one of the premier events in the University calendar, we encourage all staff to get involved and take the opportunity to celebrate the fantastic work of their colleagues and peers and recognise the excellence of the Loughborough University staff community. Check out the highlights of the 2025 awards ceremony below.

There’s so much hard work and amazing things going on across campus, it’s a chance to say well done to someone through the nomination process

Nominations will open on Monday, 1 June 2026 and will close at 6pm on Tuesday, 30 June 2026.

It is hugely important to me that we take the opportunity to celebrate the outstanding work of our staff throughout the year. The University could not achieve what it does without the hard work, dedication and creativity of individuals and teams from across our campuses.

I encourage all colleagues to nominate those who you recognise as making a real difference. I look forward to reading the nominations and celebrating the achievements of our finalists at the awards ceremony in September.
